Advanced Diploma in Asia Marketing Management (E-Learning)

Introduction

The Advanced Diploma in Asia Marketing Management programme is specially designed to provide an in-depth understanding and expertise in key marketing disciplines within the unique context of Asia.

This programme aims to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in Marketing Research, Marketing Strategy, and Marketing Management, specifically tailored to the dynamic and diverse Asian markets. Additionally, it emphasises Asia Business Management, preparing students to navigate and succeed in the multifaceted business environments across Asia. Through this diploma, graduates will emerge as adept marketing professionals, capable of crafting innovative strategies and making informed decisions that resonate with the cultural and economic landscapes of Asian markets.

Programme Structure

This is a 6-month part-time programme, covering 4 modules with a total of 144 contact hours.

The delivery of this programme involves lectures, group discussions, case studies and presentations by students. Lectures are conducted by qualified and experienced local lecturers approved by the institute.

Students are required to pass the overall assessment in order to be granted a passing grade for each module. All students are required to fulfill the attendance requirement of at least 75% for each module before they are considered eligible to take the examinations / assessment of the module concerned.

Candidates who passed ADAMM will be awarded the Certified Professional Marketer (CPM Asia), an accreditation awarded by the Asia Marketing Federation.

Module Synopsis

ADAMM 8091 Marketing Research

This module is meticulously designed for candidates, exploring the critical realms of international marketing and research. It offers a comprehensive exploration of market research and opportunity analysis, market segmentation, the role of information in decision-making, and customer analysis.

ADAMM 8092 Marketing Strategy

This module is crafted for individuals who are eager to enhance their comprehension of strategic approaches in today’s intensely competitive business environment. This course is not just about theoretical knowledge; it explores deeply into strategic marketing concepts, tools, and frameworks that are vital for gaining a competitive edge in the marketplace. By engaging with real-world case studies, the course places a strong emphasis on the practical application of these strategies, ensuring that participants are well-equipped to navigate and succeed in today’s ever-evolving business landscape.

ADAMM 8093 Asia Business Management

Asia – a continent with a population of over 4.5 billion people. It is home to some of the world’s fastest growing economies, such as China, India, and Indonesia. As a result, Asia is becoming an increasingly important market for businesses of all sizes. This module will provide students with an understanding of the key aspects of business management in Asia, including the marketing environment, cultural factors, and strategic planning.

ADAMM 8094 Marketing Management in the Asian Context

This module equips students with an understanding of the diverse political, economic, social, and technological influences shaping Asia’s business environment. It focuses on developing skills in cross-cultural communication and negotiation essential for success in Asia. Students will learn to manage and motivate a culturally diverse Asian workforce, staying abreast of regional trends like the rise of e-commerce and social media’s impact. The module also aims to cultivate a global mindset and enhance cross-cultural awareness, making it an invaluable asset for those keen to navigate the Asian business landscape successfully, whether working in Asia or elsewhere.

Application & Administration Details

Entry Requirements

All applicants must possess any one of the following of the equivalent recognised qualification:

  • MIS Business School Diploma graduates, or
  • Diploma from a local Polytechnic, or
  • Diploma or the equivalent qualification from a recognised PEI, or
  • Mature candidates of 30 years old with at least 8 years of work experience, or
  • Candidates with other qualifications can be considered on case-by-case basis, or
  • Undergraduates may be admitted on case-by-case basis.

English Requirements

  • A C6 in GCE ‘O’ Level English, or
  • At least IELTS 5.5, or
  • At least iBT TOEFL 46 – 59, or
  • Its equivalent (Applicants may be subjected to a written and/or oral assessment of their language proficiency conducted by the PEI).
  • Entry qualification must be taken in the English language
  • *Minimum age requirement: 17 years old
