Graduate Diploma in Global Marketing Management (E-Learning)

Introduction

The Graduate Diploma in Global Marketing Management programme aims to equip students with the specialised knowledge and skills to plan, implement, measure, and evaluate digital marketing strategies, and how these can contribute to building and sustaining successful and integrated digital marketing campaigns. Upon successful completion of all modules, the successful candidate will be awarded the Graduate Diploma in Global Marketing Management.

Programme Structure

This is an 6-month part-time programme, covering 4 modules with a total of 100 contact hours.

The delivery of this programme involves lectures, group discussions, case studies and presentations by students. Classes are usually held ­ve times a week. Weekend block classes may be available subject to adequate student enrolment. Weekly lectures are conducted by quali­ed and experienced local lecturers approved by the Institute. Students are required to pass the overall assessment in order to be granted a passing grade for each module.

All students are required to ful­ll the attendance requirement of at least 75% for each module before they are considered eligible to take the examinations / assessments of the module concerned.

Module Synopsis

GDGMM 901: Marketing Management In The Asian Context

This module offers students a comprehensive grasp of the multifaceted factors influencing the Asian business landscape, encompassing politics, economics, society, technology, law, and the environment. It equips them with the crucial ability to comprehend and adapt to diverse cultural norms and values during interactions and negotiations with Asian counterparts, a pivotal competency for thriving in the Asian business milieu.

Some of the topics that will be covered:

• Understand the concept of marketing management and its role in the digital era in an Asian setting.
• Demonstrate the ability to create customer value, satisfaction, and loyalty in the Asia context.
• Able to analyze B2C and B2B markets and identify market segments and targets in Asia.
• Demonstrate the ability to develop marketing strategies that are aligned with the business purpose and create competitive advantage in the Asia context.

GDGMM 902: Asia Business Management

Asia – a continent with a population of over 4.5 billion people. It is home to some of the world’s fastest growing economies, such as China, India, and Indonesia. As a result, Asia is becoming an increasingly important market for businesses of all sizes. This module will provide students with an understanding of the key aspects of business management in Asia, including the marketing environment, cultural factors, and strategic planning.

Some of the topics that will be covered:

• Understand the different aspects of marketing management of an Asia business entity in the digital ear including customer value, satisfaction, loyalty, market segmentation, and targeting.
• Understand how to apply data-driven customer relationship marketing techniques to improve customer loyalty and advocacy.
• Able to design and manage integrated marketing communications, including digital, mass, and personal communications.
• Understand the Asian business environment, including the PESTLE factors and the importance of CSR, ethics, and sustainability

GDGMM 903: Digital Marketing – A Global

This module will introduce students to the world of digital marketing. It teaches students how to develop and implement effective digital marketing strategies. Students will learn about the different channels, technologies, and strategies used to reach and engage customers online. Student will be able to measure and evaluate the results of your campaigns and use data to drive decision-making.

Some of the topics that will be covered:

• Understand the digital marketing landscape, including the different channels, technologies, and strategies used to reach and engage customers.
• Able to develop a digital marketing strategy that aligns with the overall business goals.
• Able to create and manage digital marketing campaigns that are effective and efficient.

GDGMM 904: Global Strategy

This module will introduce students to the world of global marketing and teach students how to develop and implement effective global marketing strategies. You will learn about the different factors that affect global marketing, such as the social and cultural environment, the legal and regulatory environment, and the economic environment. Students will also learn how to segment, target, and position products and services in global markets, and how to conduct global marketing research.

Some of the topics that will be covered:

• Understand the foundation of global strategy.
• Understand and able to articulate within the social and cultural environment in global marketing.
• Able to apply the Global marketing mix.
• Able to develop the segmentation, targeting, and positioning in global marketing

Application & Administration Details

Entry Requirements

All applicants must possess any one of the following of the equivalent recognised qualification:

  • A university degree or one of the following:
  • a recognised professional qualification in any discipline,
  • Certified Professional Marketer (CPM Asia) on a case-by-case basis,
  • Mature candidates of at least 30 years old with at least 8 years of, or relevant working experience.
  • Candidates with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis subject to approval by the Academic board, whose decision is final and binding.
  • Current undergraduates may be admitted on a case-by-case basis, but the graduate diploma will not be awarded until they been awarded their degree.

English Requirements

  • At least IELTS 5.5, or
  • At least iBT TOEFL 46 – 59, or
  • A pass in GCE ‘O’ Level English, or
  • Its equivalent (Applicants may be subjected to a written and/or oral assessment of their language proficiency conducted by the PEI).
  • Note: If the highest qualification was taken in the English language, then the above requirements are not needed.
  • *Minimum age requirement: 18 years old
