Graduate Diploma in Global Marketing Management (Blended)


The Graduate Diploma in Global Marketing Management programme aims to prepare Asian managers, and Asian marketers to compete in a global environment, a good knowledge of Asian Business and Marketing is necessary but not sufficient.

Programme Structure

This is a 8-month part-time programme, covering 6 modules with a total of 216 contact hours.

The delivery of this programme involves lectures, group discussions, case studies, and presentations by students. Classes are usually held three times a week. Weekend block classes may be available subject to adequate student enrolment. Weekly lectures are conducted by qualified and experienced local lecturers approved by the institute.

Students are required to pass the overall assessment in order to be granted a passing grade for each module. All students are required to fulfill the attendance requirement of at least 75% for each module before they are considered eligible to take the examinations / assessment of the module concerned.

Module Synopsis

CPM001 Marketing Research

The module aims to provide the theoretical and applied knowledge of multivariate statistical techniques for data analysis and the introduction of qualitative and quantitative research methods to provide students with an appreciation of contribution of each method to social science research in a business and marketing environment.

CPM002 Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC)

The module examines a variety of marketing communications theories and practices to equip students with the knowledge and skill to craft and communicate an effective marketing communication plan.

• Creative strategy
• Digital and social media campaign
• Program Evaluation and Control

CPM003 Marketing Strategy

Designed specifically to inculcate in candidates a managerial, analytical, and comprehensive approach toward marketing management, the learning journey entails a detailed analysis of strategy, tactics, and values adopted by Asia companies within their specific framework of economic, political-legal, and social-cultural characteristics.

• Analyzing the External Environment in the Asia Region
• Marketing Strategy Implementation and Evaluation

CPM004 Asia Business

Given that Asia is a vibrant and significant part of the global economy in the 21st century and is a major trading partner with almost every country in the world, this module aims to deliver a deep understanding of Asian history, economic, political- legal, social-cultural factors required to successfully engage in business relations throughout Asia ranging from government to commercial and even not-for-profit entities.

• Overview of Business in the Asia Region
• The Technological Environment

CPM005 Asia Marketing Management

This module aims to enhance candidates’ knowledge and skills by integrating the concepts and strategic frameworks taught in previous modules to help candidates analyze specific marketing cases in the Asia region.

• The Core Essence of Marketing Management
• Marketing Management in Action
• Marketing Management in Digital Era

CPM006 Global Business Strategy

This module introduces the foundational and functional tools to better prepare students for the global business landscape. The objective of this module is to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge about global strategy.

Entry Requirements

All applicants must possess any one of the following of the equivalent recognised qualification:

  • A university degree or a professional qualification in a business-related discipline, or
  • MIS Business School Certificates or other equivalent qualification from recognised PEI, or
  • Candidates with other qualifications can be considered on a case-by-case basis.

English Requirements

  • At least IELTS 5.5, or
  • At least iBT TOEFL 46 – 59, or
  • A pass in GCE ‘O’ Level English, or
  • Its equivalent (Applicants may be subjected to a written and/or oral assessment of their language proficiency conducted by the PEI).
  • *Minimum age requirement: 17 years old
